
Brazil’s leading investment bank BTG Pactual has launched a new platform that enables customers to invest directly in cryptocurrencies.
The bank’s Mynt platform currently allows users to buy Bitcoin and Ether, and BTG Pactual said it plans to launch support for other encrypted assets in the future. Andre Porthilo, Head of Digital Assets at BTG Pactual, statement:
“At this first moment, we will own the two main assets of the market, but over time, we will include other cryptocurrencies for trading. We will have a complete platform containing blockchain-based assets.”
Roberto Sallouti, CEO of BTG Pactual, described the creation of Mynt as a response to “the needs of our customers who want to trade cryptocurrencies.”
Sallouti added that Mynt plan hosting aims to introduce new users to the educational content of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology, and pointed out: “As a new asset class, we will also provide content to educate and inform our customers about these assets. And technology.”
