Valkyrie Bitcoin futures ETF will be listed on NASDAQ on October 22

Valkyrie’s Bitcoin (Bitcoin) The Futures Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) is preparing to launch ProShares’ Bitcoin Strategy ETF on Friday.

Valkyrie confirmed to Cointelegraph on Thursday that the Valkyrie Bitcoin Strategy ETF has finally come into effect and will begin trading on the Nasdaq on Friday under the ticker symbol BTF.

This release is after the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission indeed Notice of the Valkyrie Bitcoin Strategy ETF coming into effect on Thursday.

According to Leah Wald, CEO of Valkyrie Funds, Valkyrie’s upcoming Bitcoin futures ETF marks an important milestone in the relationship between the cryptocurrency industry and US regulators.

“This announcement is important because it further affirms that U.S. regulators want to cooperate with the industry in regulating crypto assets, rather than banning them,” she said.

“The more products that enter the market, the higher the visibility they bring, and they are expected to gain more adoption. Of course, there are other applications for similar products, and it makes sense for them to enter the market,” Wald added.

As previously reported, ProShares’ Bitcoin Strategy ETF became the first ETF based on Bitcoin futures launched in the United States. Start trading on the New York Stock Exchange Tuesday.
