Cactus Custody, a qualified institutional custody solution powered by Matrixport, announced today that it is the first MetaMask Institutional (MMI) integrated custody capable of supporting MMI’s multi-chain capabilities and all EVM-compliant chains.
This feature, called the “DeFi Connector,” provided by Cactus Custody enables institutional clients to seamlessly and securely connect to decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols via MMI.
Successfully upgraded with multi-chain connectivity access across all Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatible chains, sidechains and Layer 2, including but not limited to Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Polygon, Smart Bitcoin Cash, Avalanche, Fantom, Arbitrum , HECO, Harmony One, and Celo, among others.
“Our products simultaneously provide the highest levels of security and usability for institutions seeking to capitalize on the enormous opportunities in DeFi. We are fully committed to enabling multi-chain capabilities to provide broader DeFi access while adhering to world-class security and compliance regulatory standards.”
– Cynthia Wu, Head of Sales and Business Development, Matrixport
- Cactus Custody aims to bring greater security, transparency and efficiency to the crypto market. DeFi connectors provide audit trails to meet any regulatory requirements and allow decentralized application (DApp) interactions and wallet transactions on MMI to be traceable in escrow systems.
- DeFi Connectors also implement enterprise-level controls and role-based approval processes during interactions with DeFi, as well as secure smart contract addresses whose private keys are secured in a Hardware Security Module (HSM) by a qualified custodian.
“EVM chain support is one of the most important institutional needs. With our latest custodial account multi-chain feature, Cactus Custody not only supports multiple EVM chains, but also allows institutions to freely bridge digital assets between these networks. A profound DeFi product.”
– Johann Bornman, Head of Product, MMI
