Web3 Lab It is part of the EEA community organization dedicated to advancing Ethereum and promoting industry adoption. In the following Q&A, EEA interviewed founder and CEO Conor Svensson to understand how Web3 Labs contributes to the ecosystem to help Ethereum reach its full potential.

Please briefly introduce your company and yourself.

I am Conor Svensson, the founder and CEO of Web3 Labs. Web3 Labs is a blockchain technology and service company that cooperates with large companies to develop strategic blockchain plans and blockchain protocol companies. Our clients include Microsoft, JPMorgan Chase, Vodafone, ConsenSys and R3.

We are also responsible for the development of the widely used Web3j Ethereum integration library and Epirus blockchain browser for Quorum and Besu networks.

What made you join the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance in the first place, and why did you decide to become a member?

After the EEA launch event in February 2017, I was scrambling to find a way to participate, so we joined when the membership opened in May 2017. I see the value of getting some of the largest companies in the world to support Ethereum technology, and we want to be a part of it.

What is your current work on Ethereum? How will end users benefit from your work?

I just published a book, Blockchain Innovator’s Handbook: A leader’s guide to understanding, adopting, and succeeding this disruptive technologyIt is a guide to help business leaders understand blockchain technology and how to accept it.

Ethereum has received widespread attention because it is one of the basic blockchain technologies and a key driver of many innovative growth-such as tokens, NFTs, DeFi, and decentralized identities. I also discussed the importance of industry organizations including EEA. This helps to link many concepts to a corporate-centric landscape.

All proceeds from book sales will be donated to a charity named lark It supports parents and caregivers of neuro-diversified children through the free counseling service they operate. Some really cool people support this book, including Dan Burnett, EEA’s own executive director, and Joseph Lubin, co-founder of Ethereum and founder of ConsenSys!

We also continue to support and maintain Web3j For enterprise developers based on Ethereum, and our Epirus Blockchain Explorer Used in the enterprise Ethereum network.

How will EEA strengthen your organization’s current efforts?

Being part of the network is an advantage. I have been involved in the EEA for more than four years and served as the chair of the technical specification working group for three years. I have personally experienced how many great people and companies in EEA are involved and their passion for Ethereum in the corporate environment.

What is the EEA project you are most interested in?

Because of my participation, I am biased, but the work of the Technical Specification Working Group still excites me-these standards are very important. In addition, I like the work of Mainnet and DeFi interest groups because they are taking active measures to allow companies to cooperate with the public Ethereum network and take measures such as baseline agreements.
