Syntropy co-founder and CTO Jonas Simanavicius and EEA members in focus
As a member of the EEA, Syntropy is part of the EEA organization, which is dedicated to promoting Ethereum and promoting industry adoption.in In the following Q&A, EEA interviewed Jonas Simanavicius and introduced how Syntropy can help the ecosystem realize the potential impact of Ethereum.
Please briefly introduce your company and yourself
Syntropy transforms the public Internet into a secure, user-centric Internet with built-in encryption and optimized performance, and automatically provides support for everything connected to it. Through our unified layer of the Internet, we use all the underutilized network capacity found in the network to connect all cloud and bare metal locations from more than 200 providers and more than 550 unique regions.
Using Syntropy Stack, you can also build any content based on the current Internet on Syntropy. It allows anyone to create and deploy applications on Syntropy, and automatically optimize the connection for performance and encrypt it by default. The stack is also compatible with millions of devices and services, including cloud, on-premises and edge infrastructure. We provide developers with the ability and control to build on a unified layer.
Before starting Syntropy, I was a member of the engineering and application development teams at Royal Bank of Scotland and JPMorgan Chase. There, I learned about the potential impact that Bitcoin and decentralized technology may have on the world. Combining the utility of blockchain with my expertise in network software is a great opportunity that I cannot miss. Collaborate with other successful technology entrepreneurs (including the co-founder of Equinix) to get the rest to begin.
What made you join the Ethereum Enterprise Alliance in the first place, and why did you decide to become a member?
Considering the utility of Ethereum and its obvious position in the enterprise market, joining the alliance is very meaningful for us. We have developed our technology with direct investment from many companies, so we can learn from more EEA members to make it an ideal choice. The alliance also helps us keep abreast of business trends related to developer tools, tokenomic models, smart contract security, and blockchain adoption. This is not only an excellent opportunity to interact with potential new users, but also to collaborate with most new users on promising Ethereum-based projects and organizations.
What are you currently doing with Ethereum? How will end users benefit from your work?
Syntropy has already leveraged Ethereum smart contracts, but now we are adding the final part to our tokenomic model, which puts our ERC-20 token NOIA at the core of the protocol. In addition to this, we recently launched Entropy stack, Which can help developers and network teams easily create secure and optimized connections between any devices or services running in the cloud, on-premises or edge locations.
We think this is of great significance to the blockchain industry, because the stack can make decentralized infrastructure faster, more secure, and highly reliable. This makes Syntropy Entry technology Used to build a blockchain infrastructure to ensure that all connections are normalized, encrypted and simplified. Syntropy promotes the core of the network, so we realized early on that we can equip ordinary node running programs with the right tools and eliminate the complexity of setting up nodes.
How will the EEA enhance the current work of your organization?
The Syntropy technology stack has been launched. It is tailored for enterprise applications. It solves the actual needs that enterprises face every day, including the cost and trouble of building and managing huge networks, dealing with security vulnerabilities, and dealing with sub-optimal Internet performance.
By integrating enterprise users and technologies like ours, we hope to bridge the gap between next-generation services and a large number of potential users to solve actual business needs.
As mentioned earlier, our technology is also ideal for simplifying and enhancing the setup of blockchain infrastructure. We already use decentralized services (for example, Chain link with polka dot -Includes and Elond —I believe that most applications based on Ethereum (including Ethereum itself) can benefit from our technology. We hope to cooperate with every project and network to enhance the decentralized Ethereum ecosystem.
What EEA plan are you most excited about?
For me, this is a working group within the alliance. Specifically, the Trusted Enforcement Working Group and the EthTrust Security Level Working Group both cover topics that can greatly improve our network and keep us up to date with best security practices. The blockchain-based payment interest group also looks interesting because we see a lot of attention to token adoption and encryption regulations.
Our team and technology can make important contributions to these areas. Learning and cooperating with other members on these issues are equally valuable.
